ASSA SPECIAL EVENTS (includes upcoming and past venues)

 
Several swim camps will be taking place in Alberta this year. These camps are a great opportunity for swimmers of any skill level to brush up on their strokes and improve their athletic skills.
 
Alberta Open Water Swimming Championships - Hosted by: Swim Alberta. For more info, click the link to the left.
 
The All Star Meet is an opportunity for ASSA swimmers to show their
stuff against some of the elite winter club swimmers in the province.
 

Alberta Summer Games:

2002 Summer Games - Camrose - August 15th to August 18th.
2004 Summer Games - Okotoks, High River, MD of Foothills - July 22 to July 25.
2006 Summer Games - Red Deer - July 27 to July 30.
2008 Summer Games - Medicine Hat - August 7 to August 10.
2010 Summer Games - Peace Country - July 19 to July 25.

 

Each year, ASSA Swimmers compete in the Southern Alberta Summer Games. The games consist of participants from Zone 1 (Sunny South) of the Alberta Summer Games.

Battle Of The Border

On June 29 & 30, 2002 at Lloydminster, Alberta the ASSA & the Saskatchewan Summer Swim Association competed in the "Battle of the Border".

You can find the results in the ASSA Results Database under "Lloydminster - Aquanauts - 2002-06-29". Saskatchewan swimmers are identified as "visit". Relay Team Results from this event are not currently available in the database but are available here.

 
The ASSA has adopted the rules and regulations that allow for a swimmer with a disability (Para-Swimmers) to compete in ASSA competitions and advance to to the Regional and Provincial levels in specific events. More information and forms are available on the Para-Swimming page.
